Four of the local swimmers who have been regraded with better times.Friday afternoon saw the Jindabyne Amateur Swimming Club meet again with swimmers keen to improve on their times from last week.

It also saw another new member join the club and a big welcome to Stella Smith. In addition, several members from last year took their first splash for the 2013/14 season – welcome back.

The previous week saw several swimmers swim break the distance qualifying times for that distance and stroke, this now means they are regraded into a longer distance for that stroke. Well done to Emmie Phillips, Nicholas Coleman, Anissa Porter, Antonia Murphy, Jade Old and Eve Donnelly.

Emmie Phillips and Nicholas Coleman go from 25 metre to 50 metre Freestyle. Anissa Porter and Nicholas Coleman from 25 metre to 50 metre Backstroke. Antonia Murphy and Jade Old from 50 metre to 100 metre Backstroke. Eve Donnelly from 50 metre to 100 metre Freestyle. Jade Old and Emmie Phillips from 25 metre to 50 metre Butterfly.

This is what swimming club is all about – trying to beat your individual time each week for that stroke and having fun doing it with friends.

This Friday swimmers will compete in the following strokes – Backstroke, Butterfly and Freestyle.

New members are welcome to come along on Friday at 5pm and have a go, see what it is all about, meet new friends and have some fun. If you would like more information please contact Jack Van Dongan on 02 64561051 at the Jindabyne Pool, Tuesday through to Saturday from 11am to 6pm.

See you there on Friday.
