The night was a gala affair to celebrate a mixed year for the club.

All four sides — premier league, first division, under 18s and Oz Tag — went deep into the Group 10 play-offs and although not securing a title, finished as the champion club for 2013.

Unfortunately Clark was not on hand to accept his trophy due to the fires shutting roads off into Lithgow on Friday night.

Clark missed the 2012 grand final win following a broken hand leading into the big game, but he was instrumental in getting the side a premiership and then backed up his form in 2013 to take out the Player of the Year award just in front of a couple of other players.

One of the highlights of the night was the bestowing of life membership on Chris Rhodes, one of the Wolves’ stalwarts and best players.

Another of the club’s former champion front rowers Kip Maranda had the honour of pinning the life membership badge on Rhodes who has been a great clubperson — both on and off the field for several years.
